Originally formed in 2000 by Nick Lucas and DJ Passan and known back then as Lyrical Assault this group has been on the Montreal music scene for a while and has gained tremendous experience as well as a loyal following of fans. They have been overseas to perform as well as toured the provinces of Quebec and Eastern Canada.
Up until 2007 Lyrical Assault was a bilingual Hip Hop group formed by 3 MC's and 1 DJ. In November of '07 they expanded the group and were joined by professional musicians. As a full live Band they entered the Global Battle of the Bands competition and won the National Championship and went on to represent Canada for the World Finals in London England. Shortly after that the group took a new direction, the band changed their name to The LAB and their music would be mostly recorded in English only. After dropping several independent "street" ablums The LAB is currently in the studio working on their first official album.
